Made to measure furniture becomes a permanent feature of your home. Well built and aesthetically pleasing, it will add appeal and value to your property. There are options to suit your space, style and budget.
Clients often ask what material do you use? There are a variety of finishes available. The inside of the cabinets and drawers are pre finished laminated boards. There is a huge range to choose from, including wood grain and coloured finishes to contrast or tie in with the exterior of the furniture. I also use wood veneered boards with a natural oiled finish, to give the look and feel of solid wood but without the cost.
Doors are made from MDF and Included in the price is a beautiful hand painted eggshell finish. I usually use finest Farrow and Ball paint because of it's low V.O.C content (harmful fumes) and great range of traditional and contemporary colours. However, I am happy to use whatever paint you choose.
Knobs and handles are a personal choice and are best added at the end of the job. There are lots to choose from and I can advise.
"All furniture is prepared in my workshop to minimise dust in your home. The aim is to be in and out of your property as quickly as possible."
I graduated in 1994 from Buckinghamshire College of Brunel University, where I had completed a 3 year degree in 'Furniture Design & Craftsmanship.' After briefly working for an interior designer, I decided to become self employed and have been ever since. I am proud to say that the majority of my work comes from word of mouth recommendations.
"I can strongly recommend Andy to make custom made cupboards. He has made fitted wardrobes for 2 bedrooms and cupboards for the playroom and we are delighted with the results in each room. The finish and attention to detail is fantastic and several years on the first set made still look as good as new."
